OpenAgro: A full stack platform for monitoring and control of agricultural holdings


OpenAgro project is implemented in the framework of the Action 'Investment Plans for Innovation, Research and Business Development' in the branches of the Regional Strategy for Research and Innovation for Smart Specialisation (RIS3) and is co-financed by the European Union and national resources through the OP. in the framework of the Operational Program 'Eastern Macedonia and Thrace 2014 - 2020'.

OpenAgro is aimed at farmers and agronomists - experts in providing smart farming solutions, offering a technological product that is an integrated approach to agricultural activity management, which utilizes modern technologies and scientific knowledge, with the aim of making the right decisions for multiple benefits, regarding the agricultural holdings and the environment.


TrafficLoadForecast: Intelligent System for Traffic Load Forecast and Management


TrafficLoadForecast project is financed under the 'COMPETITIVENESS-ENTREPRENUERSHIP-INNOVATION' call of EPAnEK 2014-2020 operational programme which is co-financed by Greece (Ministry of Economy & Development) and the EU (European Regional Development Fund)

The main objective of the TrafficLoadForecast project is to create a comprehensive Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) to anticipate and manage the load of road infrastructure with the help of innovative and technologically advanced approaches.

The result of the project is a decision support system for predicting, adjusting and managing real-time road infrastructure traffic with Artificial Intelligence techniques.


MyHealthWatcher: Monitoring vital health related information for the elderly


MyHealthWatcher project is financed under the 'COMPETITIVENESS-ENTREPRENUERSHIP-INNOVATION' call of EPAnEK 2014-2020 operational programme which is co-financed by Greece (Ministry of Economy & Development) and the EU (European Regional Development Fund)

The main objective of the project is to create a personalized, solution for the monitoring of vital measurements of the elderly and a personalized guidance platform for health professionals to define the monitoring model and emergency functions. The result is the provision of personalized advice, guidance and monitoring to the elderly and the immediate industrial exploitation of the technology produced by the Project.


OpenPLeRobot: Open Robotics Education Platform with Innovative Methods of Experiential Learning


OpenPleRobot project is financed under the 'COMPETITIVENESS-ENTREPRENUERSHIP-INNOVATION' call of EPAnEK 2014-2020 operational programme which is co-financed by Greece (Ministry of Economy & Development) and the EU (European Regional Development Fund) and promotes development of innovative product of e – learning open platform for Robotics Training, with experimental learning procedures.

OpenPLeRobot project promotes the idea of an integrated robotics toolbox of education and training, based upon innovative ICT tools, that simulates robotics applications in virtual reality environment, supported with robotics training equipment and ICT toolkits.


ANAPNEO: Development of smart phone applications enhancing COPD patients health online


ANAPNEO project is financed under the 'COMPETITIVENESS-ENTREPRENUERSHIP-INNOVATION' call of EPAnEK 2014-2020 operational programme which is co-financed by Greece (Ministry of Economy & Development) and the EU (European Regional Development Fund) and proposes an integrated solution that:

  • It connects chronic patients with physicians through cloud computing and online services, and iChronic, ensuring regular patient monitoring and avoiding emergency medical emergencies.
  • It proposes a new, sustainable and innovative business model that ensures, at a low cost and a significant cost for the National Health System of Greece, preventive health care for chronic patients.

ECHO: Enhancing Chronic patients’ Health Online


Bilateral R&D Cooperation between Germany – Greece, 2013 – 2015” project within the Operational Programme “Competitiveness and Enterpreneurship”, whose objective is to Enhance Chronic patients’ Health Online by integrating a solution that:

  • Connects chronic patients to their physicians through a cloud infrastructure and online ser-vices, and a mobile application (Chronic Online), thereby enabling regular monitoring of patients and avoidance of medical emergencies.
  • Proposes a new, sustainable and innovative business model that provides at low cost and at significant savings to the national health system, a preventive health service for chronic patients, by combining human medical expertise with state-of-the-art online service delivery based on cloud computing, SOA, data analytics and mobile applications.
